2015 was the year that UX disciples the world over proved themselves to be the singular champions of free thought in design. I am proud to say that the field has finally come of age and found itself. At long last, UX Evangelists, Digital Empaths, and Interaction Designers have risen to the highest echelons of the creative class to further the bleeding edge of technology, design, and user delight.
With over a million prolific “writers,” the legal industry is the biggest publisher in the United States, eclipsing the entire media and print publishing industry, according to the 2014 Bureau of Labor Statistics.“Lawyers are the most consequential writers in America,” writes Butterick, echoing lawyer-lexicographer Bryan Gardner’s foreword to his book. “No offense to writers and journalists.”
Animation is fast becoming an essential part of interface design, and itâ€™s easy to see why. It gives us a whole new dimension to play withâ€”time. This creates opportunities to make our interfaces better at every level: it can make them easier to understand, more pleasant to use, and nicer to look at.
